Favorite Movies

So, while editing my profile I came down to the question "Favorite Movies?". And, well....that dinky, little box wasn't big enough for me to talk about my favorite movies in greater detail. There are eleven main film genres(types) and from those eleven there are dozens and dozens of sub-genres, many of which overlap with multiple main genres. I'm going to give you my list of favorite of the year in each since 2000 in each of the MAIN genres. Maybe if I'm bored some other time, I'll give you a list of my favorite films in the hundred or so sub-genres. 11) WESTERNS

  • I'm sorry...but Westerns don't really interest me. The only ones i have seen have been with my grandparents, and I only really half watched those. I own a few, but havn't watched them. So, no top ten for this category. However, I do plan on seeing Cowboys and Aliens (a science fiction western starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Noah Ringer) when it comes out next summer. If you got a favorite western, comment below and maybe I'll go out and watch it and maybe eventually I will have watched enough to make up a top ten.

FAVORITE MOVIE
HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS

  1. This is awesome, Tyler! I didn't know there were 11 categories. I love me some Shaun of the Dead and Brothers and a bunch of the others. Ha, I liked your Western section :)

  2. Sad day, dude, westerns are the bomb! I also love all the animated section you put up. They're so much fun just to chill out and watch. Not anything dramatic like Splice was. You should think about making a least favorite movies post.

  3. I agree with Lauren about a least category. Some good ideas for a western would be Maverick (Mel Gibson and Joann Foster) and Tombstone.
